In our guide “A good day begins at night – greater quality of life thanks to healthy sleep”*, we reveal some common misconceptions about sleep.
- Early to bed, early to rise is healthy. This well-known saying only applies to early birds. If you’re more of a night owl, this lifestyle will only make your life harder.
- I only really sleep well if I sleep right through. This isn’t true. Waking up several times a night is perfectly normal as long as you go back to sleep quickly.
- A bad day follows a bad night’s sleep. This doesn’t have to be the case. Even if you have slept badly, you are normally able to perform to 80% of your normal capacity.
*Good sleep is the key to a good life! To get to the bottom of this mystery, we founded the billerbeck “SLEEP AND HEALTH” Foundation 30 years ago. Specialists from various fields have been providing us with the results of their research ever since and are the authors of our sleep guide in conjunction with the Beobachter.
